Today is a public holiday, it Malaysia's 47th anniversary. Nothing much
to do just stayed at home and rearrange my portfolios. Starring at my
laptop the whole day...
Just noticed that this is my 100th post for my blog... tomorrow will be
the 1st day of September, it's just another day for me... time really
flies so fast, it's year end now!!!! Wonder what had I done for the past
monthsssss... nothing much except study... study... study... Most probably
I'll continue with my master next year via e-learning again... MBA(Master
of Buisness Administration)? MIT(Master of Information Technology)????
Which one should I go for??? Or MCSE(Microsoft Certified System Engineer)???
Trying to see can I find any job that I like or not. Found a few but not
sure are they hiring? Have to make a few phone calls tomorrow to find
out. I don't care how much I earn, as long that I got the job I want.

Tommorrow will be a public holiday, it Malaysia's 47th anniversary.
As for hungry ghost festival... nothing much to comment except that my
neighbour burnt lots of hell money and all the smoke came into my house
and it's very hazy nowadays, this makes it worst!!!! My nose itch...
Just some funny thing that I observed, they burnt hell money... ok...
basically they're burning money coz it's not cheap to buy those hell money.
So it makes no difference right? U're burning your money... so rich...
LOL... Then they offer the food such as roasted chicken, ducks, pork and
so on to the wondering ghosts, at the end the food will be eaten by human
after the offerring ceremony. So basically again... it's like you're the
"ghost" too coz u're eating the food that was intended to be
offered to the ghost... the ghosts would "eat" 1st then it's
ur turn. Anyway... just my 2 cents opinions... no offence.

What does the 2 of them have to do with each other????? The answer is...
NOTHING!!! Ahahah... post it up for fun. The chili is very famous, you
can find it anywhere in Kuching, mostly kopitiams especially when u order
kolomee.
As for the mooncake, just bought it last night... it's not even Hungry
Ghost Festival(the chinese celebrate it on the15th day of the 7th month
of lunar calender) yet and mooncake meants for Mooncake Festival(the chinese
celebrate it on the 15th day of the 8th month of lunar calender) already
available everywhere in the market. That's what u called business...

Went to Rejuvenate with my sis, LOL... nothing he could do to my hair,
so I ended up trimming it, so now it's much shorter. He gave me the exact
same answer like what Sheldon's hairstylist gave. So... should I do somehting
about it next time???? Just let it be first and wait till I earn my own
money ;-)
Lee came to fetch me and we went to Myhouse Steamboat again... I just
went there last month with a group of friends, now with another group.
Last month was my highschool reunion, today... how should I put it? Informatics
ADCS2000 Apr 2001 batch reunion???? ahhahaha... all together 9 of us(Angela,
Ann, Foong, Nick, Lee, Khoon Howe, Lee Ling, Audrey and me). It's quite
a lot already, usually it's hard to ask them out and always only Ann,
Foong(the odd ball... our senior), Lee and me. This is the first time
everyone I called came.
Here's the chicken wing that I forgot to take a snap last month:
Haven't see Angela for a long... long... time, nothing much changed, still
the same old Angela, just came back from Australia last year end, completing
her degree at QUT earlier than anyone else in our batch, now working as
a programmer at PortTrade. Our table was the noisiest ones, with added
sound effects of Angela's screams cause the pregnant cat kept approaching
her. It was so funny. Lee Ling works as programmer too at Software Optima.
Nick, Audrey and Khoon Howe still doing their degree, Lee works with his
dad, Ann and Foong now in charge of Avon at Petra Jaya and me... measuring
the road ahahaha... We're
there from 7:30pm-10pm. Having nice time catching up with each other.
Reached home, relaxed for a about an hour, watching TV, then suddenly
I felt like throwing up... Few years back, it happened too after a steamboat
session at Hornbill. I might have eaten too much. I went to the washroom
twice in one night coz almost vomitted but nothing came out. It's really
bad... the second time was while I'm sleeping and suddenly felt want to
vomit... shouldn't be eating too much but really could not help it, I
just ate and didn't notice that I ate too much coz I could still eat without
any problem. I only noticed that I ate too much when my stomach started
to get really upset 1 hour later.
The lesson of the day is, don't eat too much!!!!!

That's the end of my degree.. final paper today and surprisingly no complaints
haahahahah... very smooth sail. I had no target set for this paper because
the assignment is not handed up yet, so no mark for assignment yet and
don't know what target to set just went into the exam room and that's
it... all done... 1st time in my degree's exams, have 1 hour to spare
for the 3 hours exam and no rushing against time, very relax, taking it
easy though many ppl(seniors) said this paper is hard. Everything flows
out naturally. I think I did quite well for this paper and now all I need
is to get my assignment done and trying to get the best mark that I can
for assignment, if both done well... hmmm... hopefully it can compensate
the missing marks for the other paper. Cross my fingersssssssss... at
the end, it still depends on luck. Result will be out maybe somewhere
in Oct.
After the exam... what's next? Let me see... I have 5 magazines to read,
get ready the photos of Kuching Fest for catscity,
redesigning my webpage for next year, rearrange my portfolios and CV for
job hunting, learn and polish up my skills like PHP, ASP, Javascript,
Director, Illustrators, DHTML, Flash, Swish, XML...(getting very very
rusty already, haven't use them for ages...), send last month reunion
photos to ex-schoolmates, create a new webpage... so many things to do
that I didn't have time to really do. Now's the chance. One more thing,
assignment!!!! ahahahha... due date coming soon.
Oh ya... Wednesday... going to Rejuvenate and ask the hair stylist to
give me a new hair style, see what he has for me... it must be wash and
wear, not short, medium or long length, no rebonding, no colouring, no
perming, no highlighting. Hmmm... I wonder is this a challenge for him
especially with my hair? I once ask a hairstylist at Sheldon on what kind
of hairstyle that suits me with all those criterias, she said, "What
else? Only layers... unless you want to straighten it or colour it".
So we'll see what this guy can do...

1st day of exam, Database, open book exam, my aim is to get an A for it.
I should be able to if not because of me picking the wrong question to
answer. Q5, I can definitely get more than 20 marks but instead I did
Q4 that only guaranteed me 10 marks. I had made the wrong decision
.
Should have be more careful in analysing the questions.
So stupid! This is the dumbest thing I ever did for an exam
Now to get an A is something impossible but need lots of luck, a B will
depends very much on luck too whether the marker will mark it leniently
or not, a C is quite likely but a D can be very likely too. Luck.. luck...
luck... coz I just simply dumped in everything in Q4, if what I had dumped
in there were correct, that's a miracle!

more, I'm not sure about Q1(screwed up section b, gave the wrong answers,
coz not very familiar with it and didn't expect to get this kind of question,
18 marks all gone!!!

and Q2(hopefully can get full mark or at least 25 marks and above but
not sure, it'll have to depend on how the marker will mark it, better
still 30 marks if possible).
I'm not supposed to lost more than 15 marks if the whole paper weighs
60 marks(one question 20 marks). We wasn't told about the new format and
it really
stumped me! One question, 33 marks and 1 mark for "thanking you for
sitting for the exam" so that no one will get 0 for it(yeah... right...
),
more sub-questions for each questions, most of the questions are very
lengthy, mark allocations were huge too, the ways the questions asked
were quite hard to comprehend and it really takes time, how I wish I sat
for this exam last term, surely I could do better, old format and open
book, how nice... So I recalculated that I must not lost more than 30
marks to get an A.
Fine... shouldn't be so hard (I thought), though I wasn't prepared for
such a question that required very detailed understanding of the topic
,
all this while it's not like that therefore I didn't prepare in such detailed.
Who knows... anyway... it shouldn't be a problem for me, I still can do
them... it's just that I don't know what got into me that I actually made
the wrong choice of question!?!?!?!
Very stupid!!!! Can't really forgive myself for that! 
Luckily I'm not a pilot, ahahaha...
with such a lousy decision making, I'll surely kill everyone onboard.
Oh ya... they scrapped off the 10 minutes reading! No wonder I couldn't
not analysed the questions properly, 10 minutes are very important(all
these while we were given 10 minutes reading time and that's when I decide
on the right questions to answer), you can do lots of stuff in 10 minutes
time. Why? Why scrapped off????
Not fair!!!! Even though writing time is expended to 3 hours and it's
open book, that doesn't mean that the extra 10 minutes should be cut off!
I'm going to complaint to the examboard!!!!
This
is my last chance to get an A so that I have a higher chance to secure
a Second Class Honour Upper Division and I had messed it!
One more subject(Information Management) to go next week... I hope the
reading time for this will not be scrapped off, sigh... I think I really
had enough of exam, luckily this is my final term, I don't think I can
go tru' another term of exams... very stress... very mentally torturing...
I had screwed up all the exams since last 2 terms but never picked the
wrong questions to answer... I NEED A BREAK!!!!

Not much comment on the next paper, hope can get a B or A but again...
it'll depends on the marker and really hope that I can remember everything

Went there around 5:45pm,it's already packed and ppl started pouring in.
We spent 2 hours there. My feet was so painful and a bit sore when I reached
home due to me being a lazy bone for so long and also wearing sandles
with heels hahhaha... walked and stood for 2 hours without stopping and
took photos everywhere I went and whenever I had the chance, I got my
heels stucked in the soil several times too, it's pretty fun... First
we went to the garden show and walked to the building where Ice Sculpture
Exhibition is situated, then walked back to the food section, then outdoor
trade fair then the indoor trade fair. Finally again... the food section
to buy our dinner. No place to sit since it's Sunday, so we 'take away'.
Manage to take lots of photos (45 snaps) and will upload it when I'm free.

It's over... the domain name is taken (due to some unforeseen circumstances)
by some advertising firm in the net because this domain name has the highest
ranking in major search engines. hmmm... is this violation of trademark???
Don't think so... or should consider this as cybersquatting, I think they
will expect Guan to buy this name back. Luckily he's too smart
for that ahhhah... So Guan loss the ownership of this domain name and
will start a new Catscity soon, that will be www.catscity.com.my
Assingment is 99% completed, time to take a break from it and go back
to exam preparations. Less than 10 days to go...... argggg... I'm not
really prepared yet...

Manage to dropped by the food fair after fetching my brother from tuition.
Got some photos but not much, too many ppl walking around and have no
chance to get a better view for the snaps. Not only that, my camera isn't
very good in takig night pictures. Manage to take some before it got dark.
Don't have much time to slow down to take more photos coz we're supposed
to "ta pau" food back for dinner. Nvm... still have other time.
The food fair will end on 22 Aug.

Completed assingment question 2!!! About 95% completed, one more thing
still not done yet coz I don't know how to do that, had been asking the
facilitator about it and he always missed out on my post. Once got his
reply, the assignment will be 99% done, 1% will be the the final check
before submission.

Went to Serian to visit my grandparents. Reached Kuching around 4pm.
Today is the day... Kuching Festival, it is held every year in the month
of August to celebrate the anniversary of Kuching becoming a city, how
old is Kuching city now???? I really don't know(so ignorance...). There
are tonnes of activites line up for the month of August. One of the most
popoular event is the Food Fair held at Padungan. I never missed a single
one before coz I'm just staying nearby, that's why.
Around 8pm, fireworks light up the night sky. Didn't manage to see much
coz I'm busy in my e-classroom. I can see it from my bedroom window very
clearly. I'll be going to the food fair quite often I guess... though
every year is the same, kinda boring... just go there to see ppl haahahah...
and take photos. Usually u can find ppl have their evening jog at the
Garden Show and after that had dinner at the food fair. In addition to
that, there will be an ice-lantern exhibition starting from 5 August -
15 September (It was supposed to be on the 1st but the things aren't completely
setup yet). The entrance fee is not cheap, cannot remember how much ehhehe...
thought that it's free and can take lots of photos, I think I'm not going
to that exhibition or maybe I will, we'll see, if my parents are going
then I'll go if not I'm not going. I'll have lots of photos upload this
month and next month, it's all about Kuching Festival, the food fair,
garden show, trade fair, floats, ice lanterns(if possible)...
