---->Vegetarian... health or spiritual<----

Do you become a vegetarian because of your health or your religion?

I respect people who stick to this kind of diet especially for the sack of their health because I can't live without any meat. What I mean is real meat not the artificial meat that vegetarian eats. However I do not look up to those who become vegetarians due to their religion that eat those artificial meats.

Few questions kept on playing in my mind. "Since you're a vegetarian because of your believes, you should not have any thoughts of savouring meat. The religion specifies that you should not eat or kill anything that has live and you'll sin if you eat or kill them. You must be clean spiritually by not having this thought but why do you still want to eat those artificial meats (or vegetarian meat) just to satisfy your taste buds? Do you think you are clean spiritually?"

Ok, fine! I know you are angry now but that's what I'm curious about. I'm sure there are many people have this thoguhts too. As for people who become vegetarian due to their health and are craving for meat, I can't blame them and has no comment on them because this is unavoidable and if I'm in their shoes I'll do the same too. They wanted to enjoy eating meat but they can't so only substitute such as the "meat" can satisfied them. However, if you practice this due to your religion and does not crave for these meats, I really do look up to you. I salute you!

I've tried these "meats" before and it really taste like real meat but some don't. However it gave me an after-taste that I don't like. It is delicious for some but not for me. It's much oilier than actual meat. Although it uses vegetable oil that supposed to be healthy but the fact is too much of something is not good. Besides that, it is very salty too. Too much salt is not good too.

Last but not least, whether it is good or not, it is up to you to decide. I am just an observer that notice how different people have different way of practicing this type of diet.
