Will be posting about this thing for the last time I think... or the second last time :P The polling day will be on the 20th of May 2006.
OK... just some stuffs that I had came across these few days for working as voter search agent and also from my observations around the city. Mind you that these are my opinions and you do not have to agree with it and I will be monitoring the commenting system closely too.
I'm sure many of you saw a lot of banners, flyers etc. around the city. It's getting more than more "fierce". Came across one that was rather duh... not logical and no common sense at all.
"XXX can criticise YYY's party leader but YYY cannot"(sounded something like that). Hello? Do you know what is respect? Do you know what is proper manner? Do you know what is team work? Of course YYY cannot criticise his/her own party leader publicly. Where got people going around criticise their own comrade in public? Common sense please. Will you criticise your own party leader? I don't think so. You competitor might but I'm sure you won't. Even if your party leader has problem, you won't be criticising him/her in public. The most you will do is lamenting about it internally instead of publicly else you will be diging your own grave! PIG HEAD!
Ok... here's another one which has nothing to do with the above.
On the day of ejeculation, we will go to cast our vote but some don't. There will be invalid and valid votes. Some sincerely support their party and some will surely be casting revenge votes. Now... I'm going to talk about revenge vote.
This is what I came across among my friends. Majority of my friends do not support the party I support(if you know me well, you will sure know who I support). They support another party which is all right and it's perfectly fine with me.
Just that there's this scenario happening now:
Party A and B are contesting. It happened that this person hates Party A so much and he/she supported Party C that isn't contesting. So... what are you going to do in this situation? You either go to cast an invalid vote, don't vote at all or cast a valid vote.
For me, I will still go to vote and will be casting a valid vote. I will evaluate which one can do a better job even though I don't have any good feelings for any of them. Unless both are suckers then I will still go out to vote but just cast an invalid vote ;p
However, sadly, there will be those that are going to cast revenge vote or emotional vote which is not a mature voter should do. In case the sucker wins then you are the one that will suffer. Please be rationale. That's all I can say.
We have the rights to vote and I'm sure we all know what we want but no matter what, you should not cast a revenge vote, at the end the one that suffer is you.
The election this year isn't a gentleman fight. It's digusting! There were lots of vandalisms going on. It's so sad to see these happened. All these years, it's quite peaceful but starting this year, the situation is very bad :-( I'm sure most of the valdalisms were done by partyless people. I don't think the opposition is that stupid to do it because if this happened, straight away the fingers will be pointing to them. Or maybe it's done by them, who knows. Of course it's not the government party too. We as supporters, be it the government or the oppostion will not do anything to harm our party's name. We will do our best to uphold it, instead of causing unwanted attention like this that have no benefit to any of us.
However, from my observation, ever since this(you know I know) coming in, there are increasing cases of this happening. Summore it's only happening at this particular area. Very suspicious huh? Tactics like these are used widely in West M'sia. We had never had anything like this happened previously until now.
Sad but true. Sigh...
Besides that, here are some stuffs I find that it's pretty... don't know how to say. People is complaining and using these situations such as shortage of oil and sugar, floods, drainage system etc. to fish for votes. LOL... WTF are these? It's not the government that let us having this oil or sugar shortage. We are allocated with enough amount of these items for our usage but it's those unscrupulous business people that smuggle these things out to neighbouring countries to make quick and big bucks. With these, you don't go blame the government of not doing their job! When this happen, we all should work together to work things out and make sure those unsrcupulous people are punish and not pointing fingers to the government. We have to do out parts too. The government can't work if the citizens don't co-operate.
Let's talk about drainage systems and floods.
"My drain is blocked!! The council doesn't do anything to it!"
"My area is so dirty!! the council doesn't work!"
Yada.. Yada... Yada... these are what we hear almost everyday.
Strange thing is that, the people that complained are those that make their own drain blocked or make their own area dirty. They threw thier rubbish into their drains or on the street or from their car window. Some are so funny that while they are doing it, they complaining about it at the same time. This is amusing, dont' you think?
The drain is not for you to throw your rubbish. You are supposed to dispose it off properly into your rubbish bin. It's your responsibility not the council. No matter how big, how good the draining system is, when you throw your rubbish in there, the drain will not be serving its purpose anymore. It will be blocked and when rain... FLOOD!!! Dare you complain!!!! You are the one that do not even appreciate what people had done for you. Summore, if it's blocked or anything, take initiative to unclog it. It's your area, it's your responsibility too. if you are hoping that the council will do it for you and you don't even move your stinky butt a bit, then of course nothing can work out! It's all about working together. Not being selfish!
This goes the same to those people that like to litter. Complaining that your area is dirty or the street is dirty but do you ever think why is it so dirty? YES... your answer will be the council doesn't do their work! Please pause and rethink! Who make it dirty? Of course is the people staying around and also you yourself that make it dirty. Not civic minded at all. If only you people dispose off your rubbish properly, take initive in keeping your area clean, this will not happen.
Sigh... enough said. Some stupid attitude of people. Only know how to blame others but never think about their own shit ass attitudde.
Last but not least, remember to vote this Saturday!
