WARNING: Bandwidth sucker!!

Today's dinner is steamboat. It's to celebrate the marriage of Alysha and Mei because on the day of registration, all of us were busy and have to no time to have a meal together. So... today is the day. We had it at It's Kitchen. It's a new place for steamboat in Kuching. We reached there around 6.45pm. LOL.. I think we are such crazy bunch of ppl, such a hot weather, the heat is unbreable but we still have BBQ steamboat ;p
The interior design is very simple.
They worked around with the wall colours and the lightings. Also, the design of the washroom is pretty unique with special lightings and various mosaic colours co-ordination at the washing area. Another thing that worth the mention is that, they don't use plastic cups or plates or bowl or spoons etc. Instead they use ceramic or glassware. I only found plastic bowls there, meant for ice cream... I think. The spoons and forks used are those high quality ones, not the easily bend one that we normally see in many food establishements or used at home, they use very tough and heavy spoons and forks. Chopsticks are the used-and-throw type.

The veggies and cold storage section.

The sauces and cutlery section.

The cooked food section and the drinks we ordered. The drinks range from RM1.50 and above.

Let's the session begin!! We ended the session at around 9.30pm.

Lastly... it's situated at quite a seclude area so here's the map and contact for you in case you want to try it out. Well... for me, food wise, there's nothing special except the cultery and the interior design. Oh... It's RM15 per adult. This is very affordable. However, getting your whole body oily and smells of steamboat are parts of the yucky part of eating BBQ steamboat. Very messy. Even our chairs, tables, plates, drinks... were full of oil too. Make sure you get a shower, wash your hair and clothes after that. The smell can really stays on your clothes for quite sometimes if you don't wash properly or not soak them long enough. |
