Maryland Double Choc Chip Cookies

August 26th, 2010 · Nobody Surrendered

Tried Maryland Double Choc Chip Cookies and I didn’t really fancy it.

It looked delicious but taste wise I didn’t like it. I was expecting to get to taste very strong chocolate but I didn’t. Instead it tasted too bland and powdery. Didn’t even feel like it was double chocolate.

I guess it’s only the number of chocolate chips that doubled in the cookies but not the chocolate in the cookies.

Cut My Looooong Hair

August 25th, 2010 · 7 surrendered

Finally shorten my hair ;p Not much, at least shorter than it used to be. The length was below my waistline but because of my natural curls it didn’t seem that long. Can’t stand it anymore, finally got time to cut it today. My last hair cut was more than 6 months ago.

Here you go… No more dyed end also, it’s now my original colour, virgin hair. It was blown dry, my curls will be back after the next wash. It won’t look this long after that ;)

Usually when I cut my hair, there will be some changes to it but nothing much this time ;p just shortened it, still very long right? My brother said it seemed not cut ;p hahaha… No bang too as I feel quite lazy to maintain one and decided to let it grow out.

Wonder should I get it coloured again? Hmmm… Means spend money again, I don’t think I’ll dye it any sooner, no money to spare. Just let it be.

Dinner @ Delizze

August 24th, 2010 · Nobody Surrendered

Went for dinner with my mom at Delizze the other night. I didn’t get the chance to try out the main course during the first visit, so there I was. I’ve been hearing many of my friends raving about their Chicken Gordon Bleu. Shouldn’t it be known as Chicken Cordon Bleu? Hahaha… I saw quite a number of place actually name it “Gordan” rather than “Cordon”.

Left: Soup of the day (RM5.50), potato and leek soup. The soup was very flavourful, I don’t really like leek but this made me forget about leek. A bit too salty for me. My mom ordered this as she had early dinner at home before we headed out.

Right: The Chicken Gordon Bleu (RM17.50), boneless whole chicken breast filled with cheese and chicken ham accompanied with gratin potatoes and cream sauce. I’ve never try any Chicken Cordon Bleu in my life, this is my first time, this wasn’t that bad for my taste palette but it’s quite filling for me, I had a bit of difficulty trying to finish the whole plate of food, lucky my mom helped a bit. If you hate cheese or creamy food or seriously on diet, this is not for you haha… For RM17.50 with such portion, not bad. The gratin potatoes was quite nice.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience for me, service was good also. Guess I’m lucky as I did hear some negative feedback of the place either about the food or service. No complain from me.

McCoy’s The Real Ridge Cut

August 23rd, 2010 · 2 surrendered

Hehehe… Junk food again! I sure consume a lot of these stuffs lately. ;p

Today, it’s going to be McCoy’s The Real Ridge Cut making its appearance here. Again, got this from UK.

Left to right:
‘Salt and Malt Vinegar’, very sour and with very strong vinegar smell too! But nice.

‘Cheddar and Onion’, somehow I couldn’t taste the cheddar, the onion overpowered it.

‘Salted’, it’s salted. Nothing else to say ;p

The crisps were thick. Quite thick that it didn’t get crushed and still in big pieces even though it’s packed inside a very stuffed luggage. That’s how durable it was.

If we can get it here in Kuching, I think I’ll have constant supply of it at home. However, I’m very sure if it’s available here it won’t be cheap and we won’t buy it.

August 22nd, 2010 · 2 surrendered

Today is the last day of Kuching Festival. I’m sure it will be packed, the weather seems fine today, no rain.

Went there to hunt for dinner again few days back. Took some photos to share.

Left: The gourmet sausages that were selling like hot cakes.

Right: The stall selling pork.

Left: The stall selling Teochew food.

Right: Sculpting with caramel. Very interesting.

Just a quick short post.

So, are you planning to go there today? It’s the last day.
